RIP James Cagney | July 17, 1899 - March 30, 1986
He died Easter morning at his home during breakfast. James said something to the nurse in a mumble, and as he strained forward to hear what he said — which was obviously a joke — he winked, smiled, and died. His head dropped suddenly to his chest. He left us as he had lived, directly, gently, humorously.
